Beach House
Albums
Brief Bio
Comprised of singer/organist Victoria Legrand and guitarist Alex Scally, Beach House set the indie music world on fire with their 3rd release Teen Dream back in 2010. Their follow up in 2012, Bloom, carried that success and expectation and took Beach House to new heights. This dream pop duo are increasingly becoming masters of their craft and have taken a once bleak, shy sound and turned it into an emotionally expansive soundscape that is vulnerable yet confident.

Feist
Brief Bio
Leslie Feist is a Canadian songstress who burst into mainstream success with her 2007 release The Reminder. A clever marketing campaign by Apple may have made her better known in the States but there is more here than bright colors and songs about teenage love. Both dark and sweet, Feist is capable of arousing many different emotions whether they be uplifting or more of the sorrowful variety.
Fleet Foxes
Albums
One of the current leaders in Indie Neo-Folk, Fleet Foxes was formed in Seattle, Washington. The band includes members Robert Pecknold, Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo, & Morgan Henderson. After two successful and critically acclaimed albums, the sky is the limit for this band. Hopefully, while they will be inevitably standing on a mountain while reaching for the sky, they will record this event so the music produced can accompanying us all on our ventures into the woods and beyond.

Albums
Brief Bio
The NYC outfit, best known for their debut album Turn on the Bright Lights, is comprised of Paul Banks (vocals, guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitar, vocals), & Sam Fogarino (drums, percussion). Long time band mate Carlos Dengler (bass guitar, keyboards) left the group shortly after the album Interpol was completed. Interpol's music is defined by what is called a post-punk sound.
The Civil Wars
Albums
Brief Bio
Getting their big break while touring with Adele back in 2011, The Civil Wars have won numerous awards for their country/folk sound. Their name alludes to 'the wars that we each face' according to singer Joy Williams. Williams teams up with fellow singer/songwriter John Paul White to form the band. Recent reports suggest that all is not well between Williams and White, a schism that might destroy this interesting project. Let's hope for an armistice and more music in the future.
